Inn at Pound Ridge — Poof!

Posted by: Liz Johnson - Posted in Restaurants on Aug 17, 2006

I got a letter in the mail today inviting me to a “press review” of the sale of the Inn at Pound Ridge. I called to find out what’s up and heard the following message on the answering machine:

“You have reached the restaurant formerly known as the Inn at Pound Ridge. We are currently closed due to a management change. We will be reopening shortly. Please leave a message if you would like to have our banquet manager call you back. Thank you.”

Well yeah! If I had a party planned for next weekend I’d certainly like to hear back from the banquet manager. I don’ t know much about the Treyballs, the former owners — except that Keith Treyball, one of the sons, worked for a while at Mighty Joe Young’s in Manhattan and Aix in Hartsdale and is now a partner in BLT — Bistro Laurent Tourondel — in Manhattan. But I do know that people spoke highly of their restaurant, so hopefully they didn’t leave any brides-to-be in the lurch.

According to the letter I got, the restaurant will be sold at auction on Sept. 9.

Stay tuned. When I hear more, so will you.
