I used google to search and found it here :) This used to be our big deal to go out to on Friday night with the family. If I remember right, they used to have a "Kids eat free" deal on the kids menu.. and when I was done eating my sister and I would play outside while mom and dad had coffee. Its amazing to see that picture, looks just like it did back then. They did everything the way it should have been done to entice someone to return to their restaurant. The menu selections were superb, the food delicious, the service impeccable. As for the Cabin, my parents took me there for my first dinner out -- in 1959 and recently, I had started to stop by for lunch. My mother said the interior hadn't changed a bit! It was so authetic -- in terms of place and timlessness -- that it was actually cool! Food wasn't bad.. good burgers and basics. I'll likely work with The Art Barn again, when I feature some hot holiday gifts on my blog, "Just Browing":http://justbrowsing.lohudblogs.com starting next month. Traditional Italian food with a thin crust pizza that is excellent, red and white checked tablecloths, family ownership for 60 years, big old wooden bar, no neon sign and I think every member of the family works there. It is in a transitional area in Mt. Vernon and there is no parking besides the street. It is well worth the effort. You will feel like you are in the 1950's...60's at the latest! Whats classic?
