The Melting Pot Is Coming To White Plains
I’m a sucker for fondue. Soon, I’ll have another place to have it.
The Melting Pot, a fondue franchise restaurant (there are outposts in Westwood, N.J. and Darien, Conn.) will take up 6,000 square feet of the Downtown Crossing project on Mamaroneck Avenue between Main and Martine. Looks like they’re hoping to be open by the end of the year.
Here, from the press release:
“Design and construction plans will call for a spacious bar, beautiful artwork, comfortable booth-seating for approximately 180 guests, and several private rooms. Given the nature of fondue dining, there will also be an area of very private two-seater booths, called Lovers’ Lane.
At The Melting Pot, guests discover all of the ingredients for a unique dining experience including a relaxed atmosphere, private tables, attentive service, fine wines and signature fondue dinners. Cooking choices include four fondue styles and a variety of entrees combined with special dipping sauces. For dessert, diners can enjoy mouthwatering chocolate fondues with dipping items such as fresh fruits, cheesecake, marshmallows, pound cake and brownies.”

Ohmigoodness. I went to one in CA a couple of years ago and it was a lot of fun and delicious. Now if they offer free parking somewhere nearby I’ll be in complete heaven!
i just cant get that excited over fondue. something you do when you have friends over, not go out to eat and do.
oh well.. to each their own.
We went to the one in Darien for Valentines day… what a treat! The waitress told us then about how it was coming to White Plains but thanks for more details!
