Iron Chef America: Watch It Sunday!

Posted by: Liz Johnson - Posted in Uncategorized on May 25, 2007

Don’t forget — Hudson Valley chef Peter X. Kelly is going to be on Iron Chef America on the Food Network Sunday at 9 p.m.

My colleague Ted Mann and I have been talking about it on RNN. Check out our video clips here.

Here’s Ted, interviewing Kelly:

And here’s me, talking about it on 90 Second Weekend. (I’m the second  item, after Matt and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean.”

  1. Bill Rubin says:

Wow—Peter won!!! Did you know the outcome? I think you were at the taping so I guess you did. It was a surprise to me. The judges seemed to prefer Bobby Flay’s dishes.

  2. Rose Ann says:

Peter Kelly is quite the amazing chef!! I love his restaurants and his food. His dishes were so inventive, and presented very well- as always. I hope he plans on serving some of those dishes up as specials at his restaurant. Although the judges didn’t seem to care for it, the crab potato salad (I think that’s what it was!) looked AMAZING!

Also, definitely skip the Ted Mann video. Liz knows more about food and has a better TV presence. That guy talks more about himself then anyone I know!

  3. Ted Mann says:

Might I also suggest skipping all comments by Rose Ann? Yes, yes, I think I will.

  4. Rose Ann says:

It’s just an opinion! That’s what these blogs are for. Almost every single one of your posts is about you OR you are degrading women. Your comment just goes to show how unprofessional you are.

Liz, keep up the great work!

  5. Liz Johnson says:

All right, kids! Thanks Rose Ann.

  6. Jane McManus says:

I’ve been hearing you talk (and reading you blog) about the matchup so I watched the first episode of Iron Chef America the other night. Maybe I just liked the competitive aspect, and I love Xaviar’s, but the show was so much fun to watch.

So thanks for tipping us off. Any other local chefs who you think are up to the challenge?
