They will review the knife choices available today and the pros &cons of different qualities of knives. Then they will show you how to select the right knives that fit your needs, various cutting techniques and sharpening tips. Scott & Michael invite you out for an evening of culinary instruction featuring today’smost commonly used kitchen cutlery: the Paring Knife, Boning Knife, Serrated Bread Knife, Slicing Knife, Chef’s Knife, Come-Apart Kitchen Shears, and today’s most popular knife, the Santoku Knife. Scott Staib, President and Designer of Ergo Chef Knives, Danbury, CT, graduated from Johnson & Wales University, worked in the culinary field for several years using conventional chef knives, but experienced some hand pain and became dissatisfied with the feel of current knives available. This problem convinced Scott to work with other chefs to design the new Ergo Chef ergonomic 8 inch chefs knife. A HOMEMADE PASTA DINNER FROM SCRATCH Presented by Chef Mark Donelli from Marco A Restaurant Tuesday, June 19th (7:00pm-9:00pm) $30.00/person Chef/Owner Mark Donelli from Marco A Restaurant in Mahopac, NY, prepares Fresh Homemade Pastas using different techniques. Hell also show how to make your own Sauce to accompany the Pasta. To top off the class youll learn how to make Fresh Mozzarella from curd.Bring your own wine to this class. Porter and the Staff from Kitch n Kaffe Saturday, June 23rd (6:00pm-8:00pm) $25.00/person Drop off your children (Ages 4-10) at Kitch n’ Kaffe, where John Porter and his Staff will work with your children to prepare healthy and fun-to-make dishes. Tonights Menu will include: Fresh Lemonade, Homemade Macaroni & Cheese, Ham and Cheese Quesadillas, & Fruit & Chocolate Fondue. John Porter and his Staff have taught 18 different Kid’s Cooking Classes and have great patience. Their goal is to assure that each child has a fun time and takes home new ideas to use at home.
