Brief Haitus, Plus: A Taste of Pearl River

I’ll be out of commission for a few days, but I wanted to leave you with this:

The Taste of Pearl River is a walk-and-sample tour of the restaurants in that charming hamlet. You begin at 6:15 p.m. July 31 and taste your way around the following restaurants:

Defiant Brewery

Horse & Jockey

Joe & Joe

Kwan Thai

La Cocina

The Saloon

T.F. Noonan’s.

Dessert and raffles of gift certificates will be at J.F. Kean’s at 9 p.m.

Tickets cost $30 and proceeds provide scholarships  for the YMCA. Call 845-358-0245.

I’ll be back posting — including some photos from my great dinner at X20 — next week.

See you then!
