Fall Restaurant Preview: Murasaki

Masao (just call me Umi) Umezaki, a veteran of Ichi Riki, Nyack’s original Japanese restaurant, went on to open the highly regarded Hikaru Sushi in Orangeburg. He’s returning to Nyack with Murasaki Japanese Restaurant, set to open at the end of October in the spot where the Zoo Bar used to be. He promises that the restaurant will be very traditional, tatami mats and all.
138 Main St., Nyack. 845-358-3222.
