Posted by: Liz Johnson - Posted in Uncategorized on Jan 07, 2008

From a press release:
New York – January 2009 is going to be a pink month for patties.  During the first month of 2009, Golden Krust Bakery & Grill, Inc., renowned Caribbean producer of Jamaican patties, will introduce their pink-wrapped product in order to show its proud support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Golden Krust will kick off the event 6 p.m. January 8, 2009 at the Office of the Consul General in New York City.

Billed as “Eat for the Cause,” Golden Krust will produce specially made patty boxes and paper wrappers that will be adorned with crimson bows. As a result, a portion of the sales of the company’s delicious chicken patty will go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

“I feel that Golden Krust’s alliance with the National Breast Cancer Foundation is an amazing opportunity to work with this vital organization,” says Lowell Hawthorne, President and CEO of Golden Krust. “Having been personally touched by this horrific disease, I believe it is critical that we all make a contribution to the research that will eliminate cancer from society.”

Golden Krust will produce these specially packaged chicken patties to be exclusively sold from January 1 thru January 31, 2009 at Golden Krust stores nationwide
