The former Tarry Lodge in Port Chester will be an Italian restaurant owned by Joe Bastianich, his assistant confirmed moments ago.
An ad on the Web site craigslist.com is seeking kitchen positions in a “new Mario Batali restaurantâ€? in the “Westchester/Greenwichâ€? area. It says that the restaurant will be Italian and that employees will “enjoy working with Joe Bastianich, Mario Batali and Andy Nusser.”
Nusser is the chef and partner of Casa Mono in Manhattan, along with Bastianich and Batali  the celebrity chef who stars on “Iron Chef America” on the Food Network. Bastianich is the owner of Italian Wine Merchants and a partner in some Batali restaurants, including Del Posto in Manhattan.
The Journal News reported in March that Bastianich purchased the space. Anastasia Plakias, Bastianich’s assistant, e-mailed that the project was in “very nascent stages and she was not able to comment further. She would not confirm whether Batali and Nusser would also be owners.

Old news. What’s with Greenwich Westchester Area, why not Fairfield Westchester Area or better yet Greenwich Port Chester Area.
Hi Bob. Yes, rumors have been around for more than a year. And we’ve reported it before (in March and in August) but this is the first time any one has an actual confirmation that the Tarry Lodge will be a new Italian restaurant under Bastianich. And that Batali and Nusser will be involved.
