Boy it’s a hot one today, huh?

Here’s a look at what people are saying about the LoHud food scene:

The James Beard Awards were last night. Joe Basitianich and Mario Batali — who are going to open a pizzeria in Port Chester — won for outstanding restaurateurs. Gramercy Tavern — where Michael Anthony, formerly of Blue Hill at Stone Barns, is chef — won for oustanding restaurant. Dan Barber, chef-owner of Blue Hill and Blue Hill at Stone Barns, was inducted into the Who’s Who in Food & Beverage in America.

MH loves Casa Brusco, calling it “a find.” (New York Times)

Hito Asian Bistro in White Plains is open. (Chowhound.)

What else am I missing? Stay cool today! I’ll be back later with some suggestions on how to beat the heat.
