“Tasting Tuesdays”
An on going series of
Tuesday evening tastings.

Tuesday July 8th 7-9pm

“Craft Beer
Artisan Cheeses”
with  Captain Lawrence and Murray’s Cheese

Join us as local brewmaster Scott Vaccaro of Captain Lawrence and Scott Brenner of Murray’s Cheese a NYC Landmark since 1940 pair up to bring you an amazing evening of Craft Beer & Cheeses.

A gastronomic revolution is quietly taking place in this country that aims to challenge wine’s supremacy as the cheese pairing of choice – Americans are turning to beer and cheese. Beer is the de facto complement for cheese in many cultures worldwide. Cheese and beer grew up together on the farm, and the grain used to produce beer is the same as that which is fed to milk-animals to produce cheese. More importantly, the flavors of beer and cheese – earthy, yeasty, musty, fruity, rich, toasty, floral – jibe in a way that many feel those of wine and cheese cannot. Even the craft beer and artisanal cheese industries bare a certain resemblance: both are propelled forward by avid enthusiasts playing new world riffs on old world styles. The simple fact is that cheese and beer are ideal partners. So, next time you reach for a piece of artisanal, handcrafted cheese, save the chardonnay and try an Ale or Lager instead!
