Good morning on this rainy Monday. Sorry that I didn’t post on Friday but I was off enjoying the beach. I brought back clams from Klein’s in Belmar. I sauteed some garlic and spring onions and deglazed with a little clam juice. I added the clams and steamed till they opened and then flavored with some thyme.

Man oh man were those delicious. From Cape May, the guy said, and plump as a pillow.

On Saturday I hit the Pleasantville Music Festival (a big shout-out to 107.1 The Peak DJ Jimmy Fink for telling the crowd to come see me at the LoHud booth!). I had a great time and the beer from Captain Lawerence Brewery in Pleasantville was amazing as always. I adore owner-brewmaster Scott Vaccaro’s summer wheat beer and I love its very clever name: Sun Block. (The pulled pork sandwich from Quaker Hill Tavern in Chappaqua wasn’t bad either. Am I the only person who goes to a music festival and talks about the food?)
