Photos of Q in Mount Kisco

I was in the Kisco yesterday and stopped by to check out Q — the new barbecue joint owned by Jennifer and Jeffrey Kohn (Q, The Kneaded Bread, both in Port Chester). Unfortunately it was closed. (And I say unfortunately because during the 5 minutes I was in the parking lot at least 6 or 7 cars drove in looking for some ‘cue at Q.) Here’s a look, hands cupped around the camera against the glass:

Here’s a look at the other snaps:

And, a look at a few cars, leaving, disappointed with Q’s ‘cue:

  1. I stopped by to eat there Monday and it was closed…no hours of operation posted anywhere.

  2. Strange, given the website says that it should be open 7 days for both lunch and dinner… maybe they were working out the kinks from Sunday night… people waiting twice as long for takeout as they were told, a lot of comped meals… but the food (once received) was still terrific.

  3. I know its still in its infant stage of operation but ‘Q’ Mt. Kisco isn’t holding up its end of the bargain. I ordered a rib/bbq chicken combo. Chicken was good (always get dark meat). Juicy and flavorful. Ribs i was not as impressed with. A little to fatty for my taste (i could’ve just got a bad 1/4 rack). While my wait wasn’t nearly as bad as other posts i found the manager to be a little condescending towards customers. He seemed to be in way over his head. Maybe a manager from the PC location can get this location started on the right foot. I’ll try back again in a month. Afterall good BBQ is hard to find.
