Good morning and happy Monday. It’s been a cool August so far, hasn’t it? Saturday night was the perfect summer evening. My sister was in town visiting from Texas with my 17-month-old niece so I feted them with a little party. We hickory-smoked some chicken and grilled some sausage from Hudson Valley Smokehouse. (The bratwurst is delicious!)
I also made the a watermelon-tomato salad with feta and jalapeno, a caprese salad and an orzo salad with peppers, zucchini and shallots. All local, of course!
(Except for the salt and vinegar potato chips, which were a big hit.)
