Technically this isn’t about food, but if you learn how to keep bees, you’ll have honey. I’ve been lucky enough to taste local honey from a couple of different sources and it’s fabulous. Well worth learning how to foster yourself.  A class on Sept. 6, after the jump.

Beekeeping, Part 2
Saturday, September 6, 9:30 – 4:30
There’s Honey in Your Hives!
On September 6, Master Beekeeper Rodney Dow will conduct the second in a two-part  workshop on beekeeping.    Topics will be a review of Part 1, removing frames from the hive, evaluating the condition of the hive, extracting honey from the frames, and preparing the hive for winter.
You need not have attended Part 1 in order to benefit from this workshop.
