By late October, Comfort, the adorable organic cafe in Hastings-on-Hudson, will have added a big sister, Comfort Lounge. The fashionable restaurant will have hickory floors, a mahogany bar top, hand-routed bead board and millwork, a long banquette with a wooden canopy and stainless detailing. “Hidden elements that blend modern and rustic,” says chef-owner John Halko. His seasonal, local, organic menu will be a “variation on Comfort,” which is across the street. ”More international, more vegetarian, organic wines and local micro-brews,” he says.
