Today in the Food Section

Sorry for not posting for a couple of days… I was relaxing on the beach in Amagansett. I had an amazing grilled tuna sandwich with local lettuce and perfectly ripe tomato at Clam Bar.

I liked it so much that we went back for dinner and got the lobster rolls (good but too much celery), steamers and fries. I washed it down with a Blue Point Summer Ale.

Meantime, my editor Mary was kind enough to watch over the food pages for you. Here’s what was in the paper today:

Via Vanti!, a small Italian cafe with big dreams, open in Mount Kisco. (Heather Salerno/TJN)

A Taste of Rockland features tastes from top area chefs. (Rockland magazine)

Cristina’s in Croton is a solid neighborhood restaurant. (Judy Hausman/For TJN)

Farmers markets in the Lower Hudson Valley. (TJN)

PS: I’ll catch up with Local Links and other features throughout the week.
