And here’s another recipe from one of the participants, Citrus Grille in Airmont.

Citrus Grille’sOld-fashioned Banana Bread

3 very ripe bananas
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
¼ cup butter ( melted)
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 egg (beaten)

Mash bananas with fork
Add sugar, beaten egg, melted butter
Sift dry ingredients, add to banana mixture
Lightly butter and flour tin pan
Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 35 minutes
Insert knife into bread. If it comes out clean, its done.
Let cool before removing from pan
