Author Lunch at La Panetiere in Rye

Rye, New York–La Panetiere invites you to join Author Clay Gordon, author of Discover Chocolate: The Ultimate Guide to Buying, Tasting, and Enjoying Fine Chocolate, as he teaches guests of the Restaurant   all about chocolate and offers several to taste.  Our fourth in our series of author luncheons is on Wednesday November 12, 2008 at 11:30 am.

Mr. Gordon will discuss his book, have a question and answer session and offer autographed copies for purchase as patrons enjoy an elegant three course lunch.  There’s a delicious twist for this particular author luncheon –a special chocolate tasting lead by the author.  The chocolate tasting will serve as dessert along with a delicious liqueur to complement the chocolate.  Mr. Gordon will be serving chocolate from four American artisan chocolate makers, Amano, Askinosie, DeVries, and Patric as well as two new
chocolates created for the 100th Anniversary of the Swiss chocolate maker, Felchlin, and another Felchlin chocolate, an organic 74% from the Dominican Republic. There are seven in all and all are dark chocolate.

La Panetiere will serve a three course specially designed menu with a prix fixe of $25.00 to include the Prosecco liqueur with dessert, but not including other beverages, tax or tip.  The event will begin at 11:30 AM.  Please call La Panetiere for reservations at (914) 967-8140.  We are accepting cash or check payments.  No credit cards will be accepted.

La Panetiere is located at 530 Milton Road in Rye, New York.  The restaurant is open for lunch Tuesday – Friday from noon-2:30 pm and on Sunday from noon-2:30 pm.  The Restaurant offers dinner seven days a week, on Monday through Saturday from 6:00 pm-9:30 pm and on Sundays from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
