Harvest Fest at Stone Barns

We’ll be annoucing the winner of our Locally Grown recipe contest at Harvest Fest at Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture on Saturday. (And it will be in the paper and here on the blog after that.) Here’s a little bit about the festival.

Business Improvement District, presents the owner and chefs of
Khangri Asian Japanese Bistro with a plaque during a recent ribbon cutting for
the downtown�s new eatery. Khangri is the 15th Yonkers BID-
sponsored grand opening for a new business since April last year. Joining in the
ribbon-cutting ceremony were (l-r): Yonkers Mayor Philip A. Amicone; Duru
Sherba, owner, and chefs Xinyu Chen and Kenny Zhanc. In the rear center is
Yonkers City Council President Chuck Lesnick. Also on hand were New York
State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins and Yonkers Councilwoman and Yonkers
BID Board member, Patricia McDowell.
