Thanks for the Shout Out, Grub Street

Grub Street, New York magazine’s food blog, linked to today’s profile on Jeanne Geraci of Mount Vernon, a finalist in our Locally Grown Recipe Contest. As writer Linda Lombroso mentioned in the story, Jeanne had an e-mail conversation with Dan Barber before the contest, so thought it was pretty cool that she ended up cooking in his kitchen.

Just one correction: The contest is actually sponsored by the Journal News, and Stone Barns Center is a sponsor, along with Dan and Blue Hill were just kind enough to let us use the kitchen.

Meet the Locally Grown contestants in a video here.

Bob Madigan of Purdys: Pasta for Teresa.
