The Greater New York Beer & Food Festival is coming to Tarrytown Oct. 25 and 26. There will be more than 100 beers to taste and samples from more than 40 restaurants.
There’s a firefighter cook-off (I’ll be a judge) and chef demos (I’ll be hosting) and a concert on Saturday night by the Smithereens (I’ll be hanging out!). For all the info, schedules and pricing, check out the web site here: LoHud.com/beer.
Plus, we had a special section in Sunday’s paper about the fest. Here are the stories:
Meet our local brew masters: Scott Vaccarro of Captain Lawrence; Neill Acer of Defiant Brewing Co. and Vlad Ponomarev of Peekskill Brewery. (The Blacks/For TJN)
Some of our favorite spots for hot wings. (TJN)
Under-the-radar restaurants. (InTown)
The section also had a 44-page pull out section inside: Dining Out Westchester and Putnam, which lists more than 600 restaurants in our region. You can find all of them here in our restaurant search: Clicky.

I hope they control the crowds better than they did with the Food & Wine show. I’m still surprised that the fire marshall didn’t shut that thing down.
