Good morning and happy Monday. I’m recovering from the Beer&Food festival this weekend. I was a judge in the firefigher cook-off, where the prize was a $10,000 Viking grill (yowza!) and then I hosted our chef demos on Sundays. I’ll give you tons of photos later today, but for now, here’s the scene at the BBQ, Brews and B-Sides party with the Smithereens on Saturday.

  1. I saw a sign in the window at the recently departed Sonoma Cafe in Brewster, says Eveready Diner is coming soon. Is that the same Eveready Diner that is in Hyde Park?

  2. I got a quick response — “Yes we are. Should be opening soon. Thank you for your interest.”.

I wrote back and suggested he do something about their not being any signs so people can’t see that they are there when they drive by on 312.
