Good morning and happy Monday. I’m recovering from the Beer&Food festival this weekend. I was a judge in the firefigher cook-off, where the prize was a $10,000 Viking grill (yowza!) and then I hosted our chef demos on Sundays. I’ll give you tons of photos later today, but for now, here’s the scene at the BBQ, Brews and B-Sides party with the Smithereens on Saturday.
MH loves the super-thin pizza crust and menu full of vegetables at Bar Vivace in Mamaroneck. Entrees? Eh. But having no TVs seems to make up for that. (NYT.)

I saw a sign in the window at the recently departed Sonoma Cafe in Brewster, says Eveready Diner is coming soon. Is that the same Eveready Diner that is in Hyde Park?
That would be nice.. I just emailed them from their website, let’s see if they respond.
I got a quick response—“Yes we are. Should be opening soon. Thank you for your interest.”.
I wrote back and suggested he do something about their not being any signs so people can’t see that they are there when they drive by on 312.
