From the press release:SHOP FOR YOUR HOLIDAY MEAL DURING DECEMBER FARMERS MARKET AT COUNTY CENTER
Farmers and food producers from all over New York State will offer their special local produce and food products for your holiday entertaining during the indoor Farmers Market on Sunday, December 14, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
The Farmers Market comprises more than 30 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, pasture-raised meats and artisan cheeses, along with a host of baked desserts, bread and quiches. It is offered on Sundays once a month through March of 2009.
Highlighting this month’s market will be a special food demonstration by Chef Philip McGrath. McGrath and his wife Catherine Correale are owners of the Iron Horse Grill, located in the former train station building in Pleasantville. They recently opened the Pony Express, which features “fast food naturally,” using organic ingredients and natural products as a healthier option to the traditional fast-food chains. From 11 a.m. to 12 noon, McGrath will show shoppers how to create Greenmarket Vegetable Soup, using many of the products offered by the market’s vendors. Samples and recipes will be available.
To add to the festivities, entertainment for the market will be provided by musicians from Tribes Hill community: Julia Joseph, whose debut album “Hush” won the 2008 Independent Music Awards popular vote for Best Folk Singer/Songwriter Album of the year; singer/songwriter Milton and his band, a New York City-based group that has toured with artists Norah Jones and other artists; and Kirsten Kairos, voice-over artist for numerous radio and television commercials who is currently working on her debut CD.
Admission is free; parking is $4 at the County Center lot. A discount parking coupon is available online at www.countycenter.biz.
Dates for the upcoming Farmers Market are Sundays, January 4, February 8 and March 15, 2009.

Sounds good – but no sign of a discount parking coupon on the County Center website, and the woman on the phone knew nothing. I don’t think they should be charging for parking at these events. Any ideas?
