Need a Last-Minute Dessert? Buches des Noels and Other Goodies at Jean-Jacques in P’ville


I stopped by Jean-Jacques in Pleasantville and was wowwed by all the beautiful pastries and desserts. The Buche de Noel selection alone is amazing — chocolate, lemon, espresso, you name it:

It’s really quite a great little operation. You walk down the side of the counter here —

— to place your order. I got a chicken Caesar (eh, OK), lentil soup (haven’t had it yet) and 2 boxes of mixed cookies. Amazing. Simply divine. So buttery.
