Good morning and welcome to the new year! I spent the weekend with some friends who love to cook as much as I do, and we tackled cassoulet.

I’ve been preparing for months, as Small Bites readers might already know. I made duck confit in November, and I made toulouse sausage earlier this week. (And those are homemade dinner rolls in the oven behind!) We also had a ton of other great food:

I’ll blog about the whole experience once I get settled in to my schedule this week. I’ve been off for several days this holiday season and I’m a little off my game!
