There are some warming winter items on the updated menu at Jardin du Roi, which is celebrating its eighth anniversary on Jan. 24.
Owner Joe Quartararo tells me the homemade meatloaf, portobello wellington and slow cooked lamb shank are all new (and sound delicious) and he also has a variety of exciting new appetizers. He’s also pretty proud that his french fries were recently featured in Westchester Magazine.
But of course he got me with this dish, which the restaurant serves for breakfast from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (a 4 p.m. breakfast? that’s my kind of place): oeuf du roi (poached egg on top of a potato and goat cheese cake over ratatouille), french toast, and our signature bloody mary.
Yum. The menus are available on the web site here.
