Union Restaurant in Haverstraw will be serving a free buffet from 3 to 8 p.m. Feb. 23-28 25 my mistake, apologies to say thanks to its customers and to give new customers a chance to try the food. The details, after the jump.

UNION Restaurant is pleased to announce the kick off of its first annual “we care” event from Monday, February 23rd through February 25th 2009.
UNION is opening their doors for a complimentary buffet meal from 3 pm – 8:00pm. “In light of these difficult economic times, we thought this was a perfect opportunity to show our gratitude and provide an enjoyable meal to those who may otherwise not be able to afford dining out. The restaurant will not be open for regular business during the three day period while hosting this extraordinary “we care” event.
UNION Restaurant has a capacity to seat 130 guests. We know guests will have to wait their turn for a meal. NO alcoholic beverages will be served or allowed on the premises. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Also, an update from co-owner Paulo Fetiera:

The “we care” concept was developed because they want to give back to the community. UNION Restaurant appreciates the business and support their customers have given them since opening UNION a year and a half ago. In light of these tough difficult economic times, Paulo & David thought this was a perfect opportunity to show gratitude to the community. It is their hope to provide an enjoyable meal to those who may otherwise not be able to afford dining out.

This event is being hosted by Paulo & David and all of UNIONs customers who are all giving back to the community. Everyone here at UNION care, especially during these difficult times in our country.
