Lunch at the Star Diner in White Plains

The Star Diner is just across from White Plains Hospital on Post Road. It’s the sort of place you’ll definitely duck into if you’re visiting someone at the hospital, and I’m sure a lot of hospital staff eat there. We snuck over for lunch from work last week. I got the turkey club.

What’s so great about the turkey is that it’s sliced from the turkey. Not some slimy slices from a package. My friend Matt got the turkey club too, except he got fries with his:

The diner is an adorable little cubby tucked into the street a little:

The staff is super friendly.

My friend Matt:

He works the home page of our web site, swapping out stories and in general being creative about multimedia.

And here’s me with our other friend Matt:

This Matt is our executive producer and does our live shows at 12:30 and 4:30 every weekday. Check them out on the home page.

The other Matt got a burger:

It was good and the caramelized onions were spiced nice, he says.

They had all kinds of specials, from steak sandwiches to tuna salads to full-on dinners.

Our waitress tried to sell us on the pork chop, but we went for more lunch food. All in all a highly enjoyable experience.
