Al Fresco, Outdoor Dining, Whatever You Call it — It’s Time to Enjoy It
I want to take this gorgeous Friday afternoon as an opportunity to remind you all of the wonderful powers of our restaurat search at LoHud.com/food.
All I did was click “outdoor dining” in our amenities field, and I have come up with a list of a ton of places for you to try in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Fairfield. (Yes Fairfield…as I’ve been telling you, we’ve got restaurant listings in Norwalk, Stamford and Greenwich now, too.
(That’s the Hudson Water Club in Haverstraw. Photo by Rory Glaeseman.)

(And if you know of a restaurant that’s not on that list, please shoot me an email at ewjohnsonATlohud.com. I’ll make sure to add it!)

Speaking of wonderful outdoor dining, three of us went to the Whitby Castle on the grounds of The Rye Golf Club on July 4th for dinner. The night could not have been nicer, the view was gorgeous and we even saw fireworks. But the food was a pleasant surprise. We all had different entrees and they were terrific! We also had lovely service even though there was a slight language barrier. It’s a shame when you think about it that you really notice when a server is as pleasant as this young man was. It should just be a normal occurence.
