Blueberry Slush

There’s a nice little pull-out guide to 50 summer drinks in the lastest issue of the Food Network’s magazine. (Here’s a link to all 50 of them.) I tried this one for Blueberry Slush. Great for a Memorial Day cookout.

I gotta tell you, though, when I first made this recipe, it was quite the ordeal. First, we had to find the blue curacao. Then we realized we didn’t have tequila. Then we didn’t have enough limes. After a run out to get booze and more limes, my friend came back only with limes… the liquor store had closed. So we substituted vodka. Then the blender exploded all over the counter. When I finally sat down with this drink, I was mighty glad it was very delicious. Recipe, after the jump.

Blueberry Slush. From the Food Network magazine.

4 ounces tequila (or vodka or gin)
2 ounces curacao
1/2 cup blueberries
The juice of 3 limes
1 tablespoon sugar
3 cups ice

Puree (carefully). Drink.
