Also as promised, the details on a a wine dinner that Joe Bastianich will be hosting at Tarry Lodge on February 1. From owner Nancy Selzer:

Join us on Monday, February 1st at 6:30 as restaurateur and winemaker Joe Bastianich takes us on tasting tour of his Italian wines.  We will begin the evening in the region of Friuli, where Joe’s flagship estate, Bastianich, produces wines of remarkable power.  Guests will then head to Maremma, Tuscany, where Joe, with partners Lidia Bastianich and Mario Batali, crafts terroir-expressive “Super-Med” wines from new and exciting varietals at La Mozza.  Finally, we’ll travel to Barolo La Morra, wherein some of Italy’s most noble and elegant wines are produced, for a taste of Joe’s latest venture, Brandini.  Experience Italian winemaking from an insider’s perspective while enjoying Chef Andy Nusser’s authentic trattoria fare at the inaugural event of our monthly winemaker dinner series.

Multi-course dinner with paired wines, $100 per person.  Please call to reserve.
