Ebb Tide in Port Chester Has Closed; New Restaurant is Likely Mexican

After nearly 9 years in business, the fish shack/bait shop/market that was Ebb Tide — and a big favorite of mine — has closed. (Thanks to reporter Leah Rae for the tip.)

Owner Tav Passarelli told me that the business was just getting to be too time-consuming for him. He owns the building, and has rented the space to another restaurant that will be coming soon. I haven’t confirmed anything, but rumor has it the new place will be an upscale Mexican restaurant. I’ll keep you informed as I get more.

For now, say goodbye to those lobster rolls.
