A little more information on the new Fairway coming to Pelham in April:
The store will be the biggest Fairway so far: about 75,000 square feet with a separate liquor store, too. (The entrance will be next door.)
As in the other Fairways, there will be a cheese department, olive bar, butcher and meat department, seafood department, a bakery and prepared foods.
In addition, there will be The Pelham Café, which will have different sections, too. There will be freshly made tortillas, which will be used in the Mexican station, a line of prepared entress and sides, a panino and brick-oven pizza station, a signature chopped salad station, a create-your-own sandwich section and a sushi bar. There will also be a coffee bar with espresso drinks and artsianal baked goods.

For those who care, Fairway has fresh kosher meat in all of their stores (or at least all of their stores so far, no reason to believe that Pelham will be any different).
I just read over at chowhound that the Village of Pelham Manor Administrator is telling people Fairway is opening on April 15th.

For those of you close to the border like I am there is one being built now (structure is up already) in Stamford, CT. I think it will open after this one does.
The Stamford store is supposedly opening in September. I read elsewhere that it could have opened sooner but they want to space out their openings.
BTW there is a more recent post here about the grand opening with the correct date – April 14th.
