From a press release:

In the winter of 2009, Chef David Regueiro joined Zanaro’s Italian Restaurant in White Plains, New York as Executive Chef. With 17 years of culinary expertise in the New York area, Regueiro’s sharp skills and passion for food has earned him many acclaims and accolades. While Chef Regueiro is continuing to serve Zanaro’s signature Italian favorites, he brought his own style and original flair to the restaurant by infusing the menu with a lighter, more contemporary fare.

Regueiro began his career in one of the world’s toughest and most competitive restaurant markets: New York City. Armed with a degree in hotel and restaurant management, Chef Regueiro landed his first job in 1993 as a chef at the world-renowned Four Seasons Hotel.

Since then, Regueiro has worked with some of the top chefs in the country, including Chef David Bouley at the James Beard award-winning restaurant, Bouley, which received a four-star review from the New York Times. Prior to joining Zanaro’s, Chef Regueiro was the Owner and Executive Chef of Solace Restaurant in Manhattan. While at Solace, Regueiro was responsible for every aspect of the business from the restaurant’s construction to the development of the menu and the wine list. During his time there, Regueiro garnered rave reviews from restaurant critics and prominent New York City columnists, including John Mariani, Gael Greene and Cindy Adams.

Additionally, Chef Regueiro has also worked as chef of several other restaurants, including The Water Club, Zuppa and The Brass Rail.

Chef Regueiro’s latest venture has brought him to Zanaro’s Italian Restaurant, located in the landmark Home Savings Bank Building on the corner of Mamaroneck and Main Streets in White Plains. Guests can enjoy Chef Regueiro’s delectable creations while dining under dramatic 40-ft ceilings or, make a reservation to sit in the original bank vault. Zanaro’s is the perfect setting for any type of event from an intimate gathering amongst friends to a full wedding reception.
