It’s Memorial Day, so let the flames begin!

Today in the food section we have two stories on grilling — basically they’re do this, not that.

Chris Serico interviewed a bunch of experts about how to cook various things on the grill, from burgers to steaks to vegetables. Here’s his story: The secret to great grilling, every time.

And I weigh in on what NOT to do. Here’s my story: 5 biggest grilling mistakes and how to avoid them.

And Hannah Hopkins, the chef-owner of Dish in Mahopac, will hold a Julia Child-inspired wine dinner on June 6th. On the menu? Beef Bourguignon, for one! (Me/TJN)

PS: If you get the chance to pick up the paper in print today, do it. That illustration by Chris Brown is super cool. You can’t tell from this small reproduction, but that grill is alive and belching flames!
