At Kittle House, a Top Chef Master: Carmen Gonzalez

According to an e-mail newsletter from Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua, Top Chef Masters Carmen Gonzalez will join the kitchen team at the restaurant for July and August, bringing her Latin-style cuisine to the dining room and tap room menus. She won’t be in the kitchen everyday, but her menu will be.

A couple of dishes on her menu include Berkshire Pork Chop with sweet plantain and Rainbeau Ridge goat cheese puree; and Roast Duck and Fresh Corn Tamale with three tomato relish.

From the newsletter:

This Thursday, July 8th, Top Chef Master, TV host, cookbook author, restaurateur,

our friend and super-talented Chef Carmen Gonzalez joins the Kittle House kitchen team

for the summer months of July and August as we feature her delicious,

bold-flavored, latin-style cooking on our dining room and tap room menus.

Chef Carmen, a native of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, is one of America’s

top chefs of latin-influenced cuisine and she is looking forward to combining her unique use of traditional ingredients and artful presentation with the cuisine of Crabtree’s Kittle House

and the many small, artisan farmer’s products we use in our kitchen.

We will offer several of Chef Carmen’s favorite, signature dishes every day for lunch

and evening for dinner in the Tap Room and in the main dining room.

Here are just a few dishes that Chef Carmen

Due to previous commitments – new cookbooks, TV appearances, a day off! –

Chef Carmen will not be in the kitchen every evening.

But her cuisine will be here every evening (and at lunch too!)

and she will be here most evenings throughout July & August.

Please come by and say hello!

It’s Puerto Rico meets the Hudson Valley right here in Chappaqua –

and it’s the best of both food world’s all summer long.

Reservations are suggested.

Sounds like a good way to mix-it up @ the Kittle house. I’m going to go this week & try out her cuisine.
