The New York Times and Grub Street are reporting that Shea Gallante, the chef who was supposed to be teaming up with Godfrey Polistina to open Arrosto in Port Chester this fall, will be opening a restaurant called Ciano in Manhattan with restaurateur Stratis Morfogen of Philippe.
Does this mean he’s out at Arrosto? Is he still a partner there? Will he be a chef there, too? And is there any other news about when it will be opening?
A PR representative for the restaurant told me “I will provide an update this week that will address your questions.”

UPDATE: Shea Gallante is IN at Arrosto in Port Chester. He is still there, he is not a partner, and right now foresees a consulting role as chef. They’re looking at an opening in the first half of October.
