Benjamin Steakhouse Will Open in October at the Former Mighty Joe Young’s

Benjamin Steak House will open in October at the former Mighty Joe Young’s in Hartsdale, a publicist confirmed moments ago. I’ll be sharing more information, such as decor and menu, in our fall restaurant preview, scheduled for Sept. 15. (Though, as always, that date may change.)

For now, I can tell you that co-owners Benjamin Prelvukaj and chef Arturo McLeod are former employees of Peter Luger’s in Brooklyn, and their first restaurant is another Benjamin Steakhouse in Midtown.

The new restaurant will be about 6,500-7,000 square feet, with outdoor spaces to seat about 50 people, main dining room to seat up to 200 people, and a bar and lounge area to seat about 50 people. There will be a huge fireplace in the middle of the dining room. and decor will be similar to the Murray Hill location, with dark wood, banquette seating with burgundy booths and chocolate-brown leather seats. There will also be valet parking.
