I got a press release about a new recession deal at Santa Fe in Tarrytown: a three-course prix fixe menu for $16, available Mondays through Thursdays.
The press release, after the jump.
Santa Fe Restaurant, the longest-running Mexican restaurant in Westchester county, is giving back to its loyal customers in this tough economic climate by implementing a “recession busting” 3 course price fixed menu in addition to their new and improved regular dinner menu. The menu includes a selection of one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert for 16 dollars.
“Everyone is feeling the pressure of these tough economic times,” says owner Rick Dumas. “We understand that people are cutting back on their expenses and for a lot of people eating out is one way they can cut back. We talk to customers all the time about what’s going on. They want to go out again. We wanted to offer our customers with an option that makes sense to them financially.”
The new menu is available for dinner Mon-Thurs and includes many of Santa Fe’s more popular dishes such as black bean soup, cactus quesadillas, and baked clams casino for appetizers, and Baja style Fresh Fish Tacos, Arroz con Pollo, and baked Poblano peppers stuffed with shrimp and crab meat for entrees. Desserts available include Santa Fe’s homemade Flan, chocolate mousse cake, and Churros: the traditional Mexican fried bread snack to name a few. The regular dinner menu is always available as well.
Santa Fe first opened its doors in 1985 and is, to date, the longest-running Mexican restaurant in Westchester county. Santa Fe was the first in the area to offer such food items as Fajitas and has expanded their menu throughout the years to include mainstay Mexican food items (tacos, burritos, enchiladas) as well as unique house signature items (shrimp and crab stuffed Tilapia, baked mango-chipotle chicken), and plenty of “safe” options for the wary diner such as entree salads, burgers, and sandwiches.
The 3-Course Price Fixed Menu is available for dinner Monday – Thursday from 4:30pm – 9:30pm. Santa Fe’s hours of operation are: Lunch: 12:00pm-3:30pm Fri, Sat, Sun. Dinner: 4:30pm-9:30pm Mon-Thurs, 4:30pm-10:30pm Fri, Sat. and 4:30pm-9:00pm on Sunday.
