Now Open: Pearl Yogurt in White Plains

At long last, downtown White Plains has a frozen yogurt place.

While owners Lin and Marty Chan have had Chinese restaurants for years, this is their first foray into yogurt. So far, they seem to know what they are doing. The store offers six flavors at a time (currently Original Tart, Vanilla, Chocolate, NY Cheesecake, Peach Mango and Peanut Butter) from self-serve machines in a chic atmosphere.

The yogurt is non-fat (except peanut butter), has live and active yogurt cultures and costs 49 cents per ounce. Pearl also has more than 30 toppings including fresh strawberries and pomegranate, and sweet treats like cheesecake bites and M&Ms. Can’t decide what you want? Ask for both.

Details: 270 Main St.; White Plains; 914-328-3708;
