Kate is a freelance theatre reviewer who has an inordinate amount of restaurant meals before (too rushed!) and after the show (too late!) and who lives to enjoy a leisurely 7:30 p.m. seating. A resident of Yonkers, some of her favorite restaurants are within walking distance – The Tap House for the Crab Cake appetizer, An American Bistro for the Horseradish Crusted Cod, and anything chocolate at Martine’s. And of course, she’s a big fan of Yonkers’ own Peter X. Kelly. She has closely followed, eating all the way, chef Kelly’s exuberant career since his days at the Highlands Golf Course in Garrison. A long retired bartender, Kate still stirs and shakes and chronicles adventures in vintage and soon-to-be classic cocktails in her blog The Speakeasy.
