Coming Soon: The Woods At Hollow Brook, A New Restaurant in Cortlandt Manor

The Woods at Hollow Brook, a new restaurant, will open at the Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor on March 14 for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. The restaurant will be open to the public, and will introduce its full menu after restaurant week is over on March 27.

The executive chef, Walter Rivasi, cooked at a Panetiere in Rye, and Maxime’s of Granite Springs. He plans to pair fusion French bistro style with local Hudson Valley products.  A couple of menu items include cassoulet and ahi tuna salad Nicoise. Rivasi was also the pastry chef at Le Chateau in South Salem, so expect some great desserts, too.

The Woods will be casual. The decor is Adirondack-style, with wood panels, black wrought-iron chandeliers and big windows overlooking the hills and the golf course.

The 411 is coming. Til then: 1060 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor. 914-731-1500,

Had lunch there on Friday 3/18 for Restaurant Week.
Ambiance was lovely. Food was excellent.
We had to move to another table as ours was VERY wobbly and everytime someone walked past our table, the water sloshed in our glasses!
Don’t sit in front of the fireplace!
Other than that, I would highly recommend.
