Hudson Valley Restaurant Week 2011: Meet Guest Blogger Danielle Plass


As a child, my diet was limited…essentially consisting of chicken fingers, hamburgers, hot dogs and french fries….and very little else.  I am embarrassed to say these habits lasted into adulthood.  Fortunately, several years working in the restaurant business open my eyes to a whole new world. These days, nothing makes me happier than creating a new recipe with unique ingredients or discovering an unusual menu item at a local restaurant.

I returned to school as an adult and received a degree from Columbia University.  I work at a local college helping students and faculty navigate through the brave new world of online learning.

My biggest passions are my three dogs, cooking, entertaining and dining out.  I read restaurant reviews religiously and am very excited to be guest blogging for Hudson Valley Restaurant week.
