With our Italian heritage, food was always the center of any family and holiday celebration. The preparation of home-cooked Italian meals — especially with the fresh vegetables from the garden and drinks form the abundant homemade wine — provides us with a tremendous appreciation of good food.
At an early age, we both learned to be adventurous tasters, and that has extended to our enjoyment of a diverse array of food. Living in White Plains, with the diversity it brings, we have also had pleasant experiences with food in our children’s schools, such as the celebration of international heritage at the middle school when homemade plates from all different cultures are prepared for a potluck-style dinner.
Through the years, we have had the opportunity to enjoy the restaurant scene here in central Westchester as well as through the northeast whether it is on a ski vacation in Vermont, a weekend getaway in Boston, or an evening with friends at a local restaurant.
We are looking forward to Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.
