Cara Cea here back for another guest blogging gig with Small Bites. I guest blogged last year during HVRW with a review of Marcello’s and then again during the summer with reports as President of the Suffern Farmers’ Market.
I first appeared on Small Bites as the 2007 winner of the Locally Grown recipe contest, which was a blast. My entry, Ratatouille Pizza, was developed as a way to get my family to eat fresh, local vegetables.
I am an amateur cook who is passionate about local food and feeding my family tasty, interesting, healthful, home-cooked meals.
I am a working mom of two and live in Suffern, NY with my husband, children and dog. When not working at my “day job” at Pace University and teaching college classes, I have done some food writing for the Examiner newspapers in Pleasantville, Chappaqua and Mt. Kisco and my blog (http://farmersmarketcooking.blogspot.com/).
In the fall I presented a talk on the role of the individual in local food at the Foodshed Conference of the Environmental Consortium of Hudson Valley Colleges & Universities.
I am excited to be back on Small Bites. My restaurant report will follow soon.

Thanks Cara—it’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it. Thanks for stepping up. Where are you going this year?
