Local Links

I’ve been a little lax on Local Links the past month or so, so here’s a brief catch-up with what the Times and Westchester mag have been doing.

One new addition to the links on my blog roll is the Westchester Breakfast Club. They visit and blog about restaurants for breakfast, and have visited more than 50 already. Great stuff! Look for a print story coming soon.

Know of a cool local blog I should include in Local Links? Let me know!

With that, here’s a look at local links:

From the New York Times:
M.H loves the sushi at Fujinoya in Hartsdale.
M.H. gives a shout-out to Portofino Pizza in Goldens Bridge.
Alice overcomes an initial bad impression to swoon over steak at the Farmhouse at Bedford Post.
M.H. is back for more sushi, this time she thinks that Kira in Chappaqua is “worth it.
Super bar food — Emily likes the wings — at the N.Y. Firehouse Grill in Peekskill.
A new addition to the spirits from local distillery Still the One.
Pies at Salinger’s, even in spring.
A big thumbs up for Alvin & Friends in New Rochelle.

From Westchester magazine:
Great breakfasts in Westchester.
Julia shares a week’s worth of meals with readers.
Where to pick up a Passover meal.
Julia also likes Alvin & Friends in New Rochelle.

Off the Broiler: Fink is back! The barbecue master formerly at Bailey’s Smokehouse in Blauvelt is now slinging ribs and other smoky goodness at Johnny’s Smokehouse in the former Danny’s/Adagio in Pearl River.
