U-Pick Vegetables at Hilltop Hanover Farm Saturdays

Did you know you can pick your own organically grown vegetables in Yorktown? You can visit Hilltop Hanover Farm each Saturday to pick your own vegetables, herbs and flowers. (Farmers are always around to give you some guidance on what to pick.)

When you’re done, you pay for vegetables at the farm tent, and you can ask for a recipe before you leave. Farm director Lucille Munz says picking your own vegetables might make you feel “connected to the land.” But if you’d rather skip the picking, you can buy your vegetables at the Hilltop Hanover Farm Stand, which is open Saturdays and some Fridays (but not this week).

Details: 1271 Hanover St., Yorktown Heights. 914-962-2368, hilltophanoverfarm.org. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
