Tuesday evening at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park we gathered with chefs, restaurateurs, farmers and producers of the Hudson Valley and kicked off Hudson Valley Restaurant Week in the Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici. This year over 200 restaurants in seven counties will be offering three-course lunches for $20.95 and three-course dinners for $29.95. During the reception, Dr. Tim Ryan, president of the Culinary Institute of America, was Recognized for his leadership in support of regional agriculture, with the first “Farm-to-Table” Award presented by Janet Crawshaw, publisher of The Valley Table magazine and founder of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. Dr. Ryan and Chef Peter Kelly of Xaviars Co-Chair Restaurant Week.
Farmer Dan Madura was at the event with his amazing mushrooms.
Local wineries and distilleries were there for the chefs to taste the fruit of the vine.
