Hi there! My name is Briana Costa and I’m so excited to finally be a part of HVRW!! I got to watch my mother, Patrice Costa, eat and blog through some amazing restaurants last year and finally it is my turn!
I’m an environmental engineer and I just moved to White Plains (from Mahopac) so HVRW12 could not have come at a better time. I love to explore new restaurants and foods – I definitely inherited the foodie gene from my mom – but even more, I love to be able to spread the word about restaurants that I’ve fallen in love with.
I’ve worked in a few restaurants in the past and that’s helped give me an appreciation for the whole dining experience of a restaurant, not just the food (though, of course, that is an important part!). When all the elements of a restaurant come together it can be pretty incredible. Don’t get me wrong – I love cooking in my own kitchen, exploring different ingredients and having that feeling of pure joy when the meal actually ends up the way I had planned. But there’s something about a restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere, relaxing music, friendly wait staff and really good food that brings a meal from just sustenance to a true experience.
I’m really looking forward to being able to explore some new restaurants and share my foodie experiences with all of you!
